Customer Review: Nikon D90, Nice camera, great pictures!
I have been pleased with the camera's feature set, speed, and picture quality. I am impressed by the display size and like what I've seen from the VR lens in the kit!

Customer Review: Amazing piece of hardware!
I have been a serious amateur for more than 20 years, and a Nikon film user for most of that time. Until recently the quality of DSLRs just wasn't there, so I had been holding off on the digital transition. Let me say that I am absolutely amazed at this camera! It has transformed my photography in countless ways, due in no small part to its amazing high ISO capability. For a dad with two toddlers, this is a truly helpful capability for capturing fast action indoors. I highly recommend adding one of the excellent Nikon speedlights (I bought the SB600), because the latest i-TTL system is remarkable, as is the wireless operation. Unless you really need a full-frame sensor or a ruggedized body, this is THE camera body for serious amateurs. I would even choose this body over one of the pricier bodies if I were a pro shooting in a studio.

Lastly, I also recommend getting the vertical grip. It gives you much more stability and grip area, as well as the ability to control AF function, shutter release, and command dial functions while holding in the vertical position.
